The "WHY" for MTEtv
"Dinky" Diana Smith
Still Here. Still Healing. Still Helping.
Founder of MTE TV & My Talking Eye Network
“Dinky” Diana Smith is more than a founder—she’s a survivor, a storyteller, and a woman who turned heartbreak into healing for thousands. As the creator of My Talking Eye and MTE TV (Mental Therapy Experience), Diana’s mission is deeply personal. On her own birthday, she lost her daughter Lilly to a drunk driver—an unimaginable loss that shattered her world and forced her into a storm of grief that nearly swallowed her.
Left to raise her 12-year-old granddaughter, who had already lost her father years earlier, Diana faced the heavy task of guiding a grieving child while holding her own broken pieces together. For years, she felt invisible and unrecognizable to herself. Friends grew distant. Family didn’t know what to say. Only her husband Rick stood steady—never giving up, never letting go, even when she no longer recognized the woman in the mirror.
Out of that darkness, something quietly began to rise. Diana started writing. Speaking. Creating. From the ashes of sorrow, she built My Talking Eye—a space to say the unspeakable—and then MTE TV, a full mental therapy experience platform streaming 24/7 for anyone who’s ever needed to feel seen.
The eye in her brand represents her daughter’s vivid blue eyes. The lips symbolize her granddaughter’s voice, still growing stronger every day. And the dragonfly? That appeared in a dream—then in real life just days later. For Diana, it became a symbol of transformation, confirmation, and quiet strength.
With a long career in real estate, she once helped people find homes. Now, she helps them find peace. She’s not a licensed therapist, but she’s walked through fire—and she’s still here.
Still Here. Still Healing. Still Helping.
And now, helping you find your way too.

Deez and Lilly
This was a wonderful trip to DC. They loved to travel to see friends and family.

In Loving Memory
Lilly Duncan was a 31 year old single mother. She died on Dinky's birthday, May 14 2011. Lilly was killed by a drunk driver going the wrong way down a busy on ramp.
Deez mourning her mother
She misses her mother every day but is doing better with her own beautiful family; a loving husband and three babies of their own.
